Forgebanks Snowshoes & Fairislebanks Bengals
News News
April 15th - Jack arrived today! He is settling in nicely, and is enjoying exploring his new home.
April 2011 - We have some exciting new changes happening here at Fairislebanks Bengals! We have been looking for a stud cat for our Bengal girls for some time, and after a long search, several weeks locating suitable accomodation for our new boy and getting it ready - including several days of treating the house and run with wood preservative (non-toxic of course!), supplying electricity for his heated bed and lighting...he will soon be joining us! Piccies and more info coming soon :) We have info and piccies of Jack on the Bengal page now! April 2011 - Kizzy had a litter of 4 kittens, 2 girls and 2 boys, we think. Born on Mother's Day (3rd April) I think there will be some Easter names for these Spring babies! Keep checking the kitten page for more piccies and updates! March 2011 - Jeanie attended her first show with FIFe and was really well behaved. She won her CAC, was nominated and surprised us by winning Best In Variety Bengal against tough competition! Well done Jeanie! 24th January 2011- Sadly we lost our beautiful British, China, to kidney failure today. She had a wonderful life, hunting in the woods and sunbathing on the roof. Everything was done on her terms, but as she got older liked her cuddles by the fire. RIP China (2001-2011) xxx 17th October 2009 - We took Oliver and Reba to the Maidstone and Medway cat show on Saturday and what a good weekend they had! Oliver got his first merit and his critique was fantastic, his judge Mr Scruton described him overall as 'Impressive'! Oliver also got two 2nds in side classes! Reba came 3rd out of a tough class of 5, a major achievement for the youngest and smallest kitten there! Incredibly well behaved for her first show, as was Oliver. Reba also got a 1st and 2nd in side classes! April 11th 2009 - Icycool Chibi-Chyoko has 4 beauitful male kittens. (All reserved!) Februry 2009 - Coldenufforsnow Aleyska has successfully delivered two kittens, both girls. Our first Snowshoe litter in several years, and one is show pattern!!! November 2008 - "Mystie" has been missing from her new home in Biggin Hill , Kent since 16th November if anyone has seen her or knows of her whereabouts please contact www.wellspottedbengals.co.uk ASAP Reward offered for her safe return! http://www.wellspottedbengals.co.uk/page_1001784.html November 2008 - We collected our latest family member to join the Snowshoe family; our first future stud boy Oliver. We are so pleased with his wonderful temperament and his handsome good looks. As he is only a baby (doesn't look like one!) it may be a while until he is ready to charm the girls, but updates will be posted frequently. Fingers crossed we can really start to help further the breed with some beautiful kittens from our gorgeous girls and lovely lad! September 2008 - Quick show brag, we've had a brilliant day at our first ever TICA show! I was a steward/clerk for the first time so got to learn a lot with a great judge, whilst Danielle sorted out Kizzy and her classes. As Kizzy was the only Snowshoe there she won 1st Colour and 1st Division in all 6 rings so that was a great start and to top it off she was also placed 6th in a top 10 AB final, and 4th in a top 10 AB final! We really can't believe it, and Kizzy was so good all day. We'll definitely be showing her with TICA again, the atmosphere is so different from GCCF and FIFE. August 2008 - We took Indy and Kizzy to a FIFE show in Worthing where Indy got her second CACIB and Kizzy her Excellent 1. They behaved so well and really showed off their pretty markings to the admiring public...great ambassadors for the breed! Their campaign will continue...with more show news updated soon. August 2008 - All of Tammy's kittens are now reserved. Feel free to contact me to be added to our waiting list for a future litter. June 2008 - Kizzy and Indy went to The Aristocats FIFE show in Newbury. Kizzy's first show went very well, and she slept for most of it! She took everything in her stride. Kizzy - EX 1 & Nom, Indy - CACIB & Nom! Really proud of both our girls. Kittens will be brown spotted/rosetted snow carriers. Please email to reserve one (or more!) of our super babies. December 2007 - Charlie's second show and she managed to scare all the judges with her naughty words! All...except one, who gave her a 1st out of 12 in a sideclass with several other breeds entered! Hopefully she will behave herself next time...or she will be taking a break for a while 3rd October 2007 - HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TAMMY! September 2007 - Charlotte went to her first show at Bucks, Oxon & Berks cat society. She didn't do too badly for a first show and was placed 2nd of 2, and in a side class was 3rd of 6. Apparently, she shouted the place down which might have something to do with it! 5th August 2007 - I will be keeping a female kitten from Honey's latest litter. 1st June 2007 - Honey gave birth to her kittens in the early evening. Brown spotted boys and girls. All sold. 25th April 2007 - We are pleased to announce that Honey is definitely pregnant and her kittens will be due in June. She came away with 1st in kitten class and BOB! As well as two 2nds in her side classes. March 2007 - Tammy's third show and she came 1st in the kitten class with BOB! She also came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each of her sideclasses. March 2007 - Tammy attended her second show and gained 2nd in her kitten class, and 2nd in a sideclass out of 7, and 3rd x2 out of 7, also in sideclasses. She was very well behaved, and enjoyed the day! February 2007 - Tammy's first show and Honey's first show this year. Honey was a very good girl, gaining her second CC and 1st in her Open class. This was Tammy's first show and she was wonderful! She got 2nd in her Open kitten class, and a 1st & 3rd in the sideclasses. She took it all in her stride, snoozing, chatting, eating! Tammy was so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed herself! 13th January 2007 - The kittens have gone to their new homes! I decided to keep a girl who we have named Tammy aka Fairislebanks Tamerona 3rd October 2006 - Honey gave birth to four stunning kittens, two boys and two girls.
